Meetings & Conferences

Our venues are uniquely placed to offer flexible and multi-use spaces.  Whether you are organising a conference for 250 people, need a 150-seat lecture theatre or require a more intimate room, we can cater for all your needs.

The Rowland Brown Hall is our largest venue and is adjacent to our Dining Hall. Both venues open onto our magnificent Quad lawn, a perfect spot for a pre-drinks reception.  Some of our smaller venues offer retractable seating and break-out areas.

Rowland Brown Hall

The Rowland Brown Hall, named after the founder of St Helen’s, May Rowland Brown, was built in 1959 and is a popular venue, ideal for meetings, conferences, seminars, workshops and lectures with classrooms nearby that can be used as break-out rooms. It can seat up to 300 people with a further 130 in the gallery.

The adjacent Dining Room, Kitchen and Quad areas are also available for hire and are often combined to accommodate larger events.

Dining Room & Quad

The Dining Hall leading to our lovely Quad lawn was completely refurbished and extended in 2017.  It provides a flexible space to meet specific requirements whatever your needs.  It can seat 230 people comfortably and where possible, suitable seating arrangements for dining can also be facilitated at round or long tables. The Dining Hall is located adjacent to the Rowland Brown Hall and these venues can be booked together for larger events. The Quad is an ideal location for hosting pre-drinks receptions.  A perfect venue for parties, afternoon teas, lunches and celebrations.

The Centre

The Centre is a versatile space and an ideal venue for seminars, conferences, meetings, training sessions, exhibitions and presentations.  The Hall has retractable seating for 130 and additional seating can be made available.  The adjoining Mint Cafe offers a perfect pre-drinks space or break-out area which leads by spiral staircase to a mezzanine floor facilitating additional seating.  There is also an outside patio area overlooking our magnificent grounds.

School of Music

Our new state-of-the-art School of Music provides facilities which are second to none. In addition to the Recital Hall, which offers an impressive performance, rehearsal and entertaining space, there is a Music Tech Room equipped with a suite of iMac computers, a Drum Room, a Recording Studio and thirteen individual practice rooms. It has a small car park to the rear of the building.  This venue offers a versatile space for musical recitals, conferences and break-out areas, theatrical events, training courses and workshops.

The two floor Lund building offers a unique and flexible venue space and is perfect for all types of events including conferences, workshops, parties, seminars and break-out areas. Lund Hall is located on the ground floor and the Janet Parker Room is located on the first floor.  Both halls can be divided into two by a folding partition converting the space into four separate venues.  Lund Hall also has the additional benefit of a kitchen area.

The Woolfson building opened its doors in 2016 and is located in the centre of our beautiful grounds.  It is a uniquely designed eco building and offers a hall with retractable seating and classrooms/studios over two floors.  An ideal location for conferences, break-out areas, workshops, training seminars and parties. It also has the benefit of having its own gated parking area.

Conference Room / Ante Room

Our modern reception at the front of the school offers an impressive conference room seating up to 20 people and benefits from an adjoining ante-room that can be used for refreshments, luncheons or meet and greet.  The Dining Room is close by and can be used as an additional dining space.
